Toyota Corolla Review

The staff here at Magic Toyota is happy to offer you this 2017 Toyota Corolla Review, and we are excited to take a moment to let you know about all that this compact sedan has to offer. For decades, the Corolla has been one of the better vehicles in the segment, and this year’s version more than lives up to the brand reputation. If you’re looking for a practical car that boasts exceptional style, then the Corolla merits consideration.

Standard Engine of the 2017 Toyota Corolla

The familiar 1.8 liter four-cylinder is the standard engine, and for all but one trim you get a generous output of 132hp and 128 lb-ft of torque. The only difference is the LE Eco trim, as it gets a retune that gets you 140hp and 126 lb-ft of torque. All are front-wheel drive, and a continuously variable transmission is the norm. However, the sporty SE trim has a six-speed manual option. Ask your salesperson about EPA fuel economy estimates, as all are good for the class but vary by trim level. On the safety feature front, you will note in this 2017 Toyota Corolla Review that the usual host of modern features come standard. Included are traction and stability control, electronic brakeforce distribution and a driver knee airbag.

Several Trims for the 2017 Corolla

As is usually the case with Toyota, you have several trim levels from which to choose. The first of the eight is the L, and with it, you get adaptive cruise control, a tilt/telescoping steering wheel and air conditioning. Technology features are noteworthy as well, as the abundance belies the "base" status. Included is a CD player, a USB port, an auxiliary audio jack and the Siri Eyes Free voice control system. Of note in this 2017 Toyota Corolla Review is that the latter feature is for iPhone exclusively. LE trims get larger wheels and variable intermittent wipers, while the LE Eco tacks on low-rolling resistance tires to go along with the engine in a different state of tune. XLE trims gain alloy wheels and keyless ignition, and SE variants get you heated front seats and a sunroof. XSE range-toppers get you a sunroof and more driver seat adjustments. Finally, there’s a temporary anniversary model that provides special badging and styling elements.
