2014 Toyota Corolla Model Review

We at Magic Toyota invite you to read our 2014 Toyota Corolla Model Review. Our friendly staff is excited to show you this newly redesigned version of a classic, and there is even a new eco-friendly trim level offered for this year. The standard features are both innovative and plentiful regardless of trim level, and we invite you to read more of our 2014 Toyota Corolla Model Review and stop by our Edmonds, WA dealership for a test drive.

The new 2014 Corolla can be had in four main trims. Of note is that the tip trims are available in Plus and Premium sub-trims. The entry-level L version comes with amenities such as 15-inch steel wheels, LED headlights, power windows and mirrors, air-conditioning, a tilt/telescoping steering wheel, a height-adjustable driver seat, a 60/40-split-folding rear seat, Bluetooth phone connectivity, steering wheel audio controls, and a four-speaker sound system with a CD player, a USB/iPod interface and an auxiliary audio jack.

Choose the LE model and you get the addition of 16-inch steel wheels, heated mirrors, variable intermittent wipers, keyless entry, metallic cabin accents, cruise control, power door locks, automatic climate control, a rearview camera, a six-speaker sound system with a 6-inch touchscreen display, and Bluetooth audio connectivity, and phonebook download capability. The LE Plus comes with niceties such as alloy wheels and fog lights, and the LE Premium adds premium vinyl upholstery.

The LE Eco trim is new for this year, and it is similarly equipped to the LE, but further adds unique engine tuning, low-rolling-resistance tires, a rear spoiler, and enhanced aerodynamics all in the name of added fuel economy. The LE Eco Plus comes with alloy wheels, fog lights, chrome beltline trim, and an Eco driving mode. The LE Eco Premium features premium vinyl upholstery.

Further reading of this 2014 Toyota Corolla Model Review reveals that the S is similar to the LE, and further adds a chrome grille frame, fog lights, color-keyed mirrors with signal repeaters, a rear spoiler, front sport seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, upgraded instrumentation, a trip computer, and piano black accents. The S Plus gets you 17-inch alloy wheels, firmer suspension tuning, and rear disc brakes; the S Premium comes with premium vinyl upholstery. Options for the last two trims include a stand-alone sunroof and a Driver Convenience Package that includes keyless ignition/entry, smartphone app integration, satellite radio, HD radio, and a navigation system.

The powertrain is highlighted by the inclusion of a 1.8-liter four-cylinder motor that makes for 132-horsepower and 128 pound-feet of torque. Of note is that the LE Eco features the same engine, but modified tuning makes the output 140-hp and 126 lb-ft of torque. Across the lineup, EPA fuel economy estimates are in the range of 28/42 miles per gallon, city/highway. Figures vary depending on the drivetrain and transmission selected.

Safety features are highlighted by stability and traction control, antilock brakes, front side airbags, side curtain airbags, a driver knee airbag, and a passenger seat cushion airbag. There is also the LATCH system (Lower Anchors and Tethers for Children), which gets you lower anchors on the rear seats. Child rear door locks are also included.

The new Corolla is just a sample of our large inventory of new 2014 models, and we welcome you to stop by our conveniently located dealership to learn more. We are in Edmonds, WA and we look forward to helping you find your next Toyota.
